In 2022, we undertook a significant project involving slope protection in a challenging high-depth cutting section along the Duburi-Baghupal block of the Angul-Sukinda new BG line. Under the Khurda Road Division of East Coast Railway in Odisha, this project was managed by Garware Technical Fibres Limited (GTFL) for Rail Vikas Nigam Limited (RVNL). Our team at Radha Enterprises successfully executed the installation of High-Performance Turf Reinforcement Mats (HPTRM), mechanically twisted hexagonal wire mesh netting, and self-drilling anchors, along with the placement of PVC pipes to ensure structural stability.
This project, completed in 2022, focused on rockfall mitigation and slope stabilization in the Sagadapata (SGDP) - Tangiriapal (TGRL) section of the Jaroli (JRLI) - Jakhapura (JKPR) Railway doubling project. Working under the main contractor GTFL for RVNL, our responsibilities included clearing vegetation, installing galvanized steel wire rope nets combined with double-twisted steel mesh, and fixing self-drilling anchors. These efforts were crucial in enhancing the safety and stability of the railway infrastructure within the Khurda Road Division.
In 2023, we executed side slope protection works in a highly collapsible area near Bridge 179 (ROB) of the Duburi-Baghupal block section, part of the Angul-Sukinda new BG Rail link project. This project, under the guidance of GTFL for RVNL, required our expertise in installing DT Mesh, HPTRM, self-drilling anchors, and PVC subsurface drainage systems. Our meticulous approach ensured the safety and longevity of this critical railway stretch under the Khurda Road Division.
